B&W sound system for Maserati Quattroporte
Bowers and Wilkins has announced that it will be providing a high performance sound system in Maserati’s 2013 flagship sports sedan, the Quattroporte.
The audio system in the Quattroporte is not an after-thought – it is an integrated feature of the design of the car. Fifteen specialised speaker units are built into the internal architecture of the cabin, strategically placed to ensure the best possible acoustic performance.
The Quattroporte’s surround system, says B&W, creates a rich sound experience, no matter where you’re sitting. HARMAN’s QuantumLogic signal processing and AuraVox equalisation ensure that everyone enjoys a great listening experience.
Tuning a speaker system is a fine art, requiring expert ears and hours of listening, says the company. Accordingly, the Maserati system has been tuned by the engineers responsible for Bowers & Wilkins’ flagship 800 Series – as used by Abbey Road Studios in London.
